I was looking for an alternative to mohair to hold double with fingering weight wool for a sweater project. Typically I find mohair to be very itchy and pokey. This alpaca is a dream. It’s very light weight, and incredibly soft. It works perfectly as a mohair alternative, giving my finished work a lovely halo of light as air wisps, without the guard hairs. It has been strong, I haven’t broken the thread even with pretty firm tugging, so knitting with it has been pretty straight forward. I am currently looking into buying more colors of it!

Thanks Sarah! It’s one of my favorites too!
